Opening Space for Dialogue at the Zagreb Boat Show – Insights from Industry Leaders
This year, we’ll be at the 33rd Zagreb Boat Show in Pavilion 9, exhibiting our Yacht Training program and hosting a panel on professional development and emerging trends shaping the future of Croatian nautical tourism.
Croatian nautical tourism is at an important turning point. The sector’s growth is no longer about the number of boats and yachts or season length – it’s about the people, their expertise, and the way nautical tourism is shared with the public. With this in mind, we are organizing the panel Panel Discussion “A New Chapter for Croatian Nautical Tourism: More than Sailing!
It’ll take place on February 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM in Hall 10–11 of the Zagreb Fair.
The panel is designed as a space for open and professional dialogue about current changes in the industry, with a special focus on careers, education, and sector visibility. Key representatives from the Croatian nautical sector will gather in one place:
- International trends and the development of the yacht charter segment will be presented by Maja Ban the Vice President of the Croatian Yachting Association, while Marin Katičin, President of the newly established Croatian Charter Association, will outline the association’s guidelines and first initiatives.
- The perspective of the public sector and the promotion of Croatia as a nautical destination will be offered by Kruna Šolić Sutlović, Croatian National Tourist Board.
- A special focus is placed on the people and knowledge behind the nautical experience. Educators Alessia Cortesi (Guest Relations, professional communication, and etiquette) and Ana Kutija (Stress management) will discuss the importance of non – formal education and sustainable careers, while Silvija Mutić, yacht stewardess and digital content creator, will address the emerging visibility of nautical careers through digital channels.
The panel is designed for everyone interested in understanding the development of the industry from multiple perspectives.
