Scope (Target audience):
STCW course has been designed to meet the requirements of regulations I/12 of the STCW convention and section A-II/1&2 and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model course 1.27.
Course provides training in the basic theory and use of ECDIS for those who will be in charge of a navigational watch on vessels equipped with ECDIS.
Program can be tailored to specific shipping company procedures reflecting ISM Code requirements.
Objective:
The trainees who successfully complete this course will be able to use ECDIS for their navigational watch, to operate ECDIS equipment, use the navigational functions of ECDIS, select and assess all relevant information and take proper action.

- ECDIS responsibility & assessment
Note to client:
After successful completion of the course and examination candidates will receive the Operational Use of Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) course certificate.
