The Yacht Master Category A course is a specialized training program designed to provide yacht captains and aspiring maritime professionals with the knowledge and skills required to safely operate yachts of up to 100 gross tons in open waters. Participants undergo comprehensive training in navigation, seamanship, yacht handling, and safety procedures, tailored specifically for the unique challenges and requirements of larger yachts operating in open waters. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and on-water simulations, participants learn advanced navigation techniques, including passage planning, celestial navigation, and electronic chart plotting, to navigate safely through diverse marine environments and challenging conditions. Emphasis is placed on developing leadership, decision-making, and risk management skills to effectively manage yacht operations, ensure the safety of passengers and crew, and comply with international maritime regulations and safety standards. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are equipped with the knowledge, competence, and certification necessary to assume leadership roles as Yacht Masters and confidently navigate yachts.
Objective:
After successful completion of the course, the trainees will be competent to handle and command a yacht from 30 GT up to 100 GT regardless of purpose and navigation area.

Note to client:
After successful completion of the course and examination at the Harbour Office candidates will receive a Certificate of Competency for Yacht Master Category A (yacht up to 100 GT) issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
