This Master module is intended to prepare the candidate to assume command of a commercial yacht or pleasure craft less than 500 GT by imparting a thorough understanding of the topics.

- Navigation at the management level
- Maritime law
- Ship maneuvering and handling at the management level
- Cargo handling, stowage and seaworthiness of the ship at the management level
- Controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board at the management level
- Master written exam

- Minimum STCW Master 200 GT certificate of equivalent

- STCW GMDSS (IV-2)
- STCW Rescue boats other that fast rescue boats (VI/2-1)
- ECDIS*
- Proof of sea service: 36 months seagoing service as officer, chief mate or master
Applicants must be pre-approved to take the course by the Adria Libar evaluation committee. Please note that depending on each case, additional documentation may be requested.
*Applicants without an approved ECDIS certificate will have a limitation added to their CoC to the effect of:
“NOT VALID FOR SERVICE ABOARD ECDIS-EQUIPPED VESSELS.”
*Applicants without an ARPA operator management certificate will have a limitation added to their CoC to the effect of:
“NOT VALID FOR SERVICE ABOARD ARPA-EQUIPPED VESSELS.”
Note:
After successful completion of the module and exam, candidates will receive an Adria Libar Certificate for Master of the Watch on Commercial Yachts of less than 500 gross tonnage used for voyages within 200 nautical miles from the coast.
