Scope (Target audience):
This course has been designed to meet the requirements of IMO Model 1.02. Crude oil washing was made mandatory for new tankers by the 1978 protocol to the MARPOL Convention.
Objective:
The course has been designed for seafarers on new crude oil tankers of 20,000 tons deadweight and above to be fitted with a cargo tank cleaning system using crude oil washing.
