Scope (Target audience):
The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of STCW regulations A-I/12 and B-I/12, as well as A-V/1-2 and section B-I/12.71 of the STCW Code as amended and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.36.
This course is designed for personnel with little or no experience on gas tanker operations and for personnel who have limited direct experience of LNG tanker operations and are about to assume greater responsibility in the field. Program can be tailored to specific shipping company operations.
Objective:
Upon successful completion of the course the trainees will demonstrate knowledge of the equipment, instrumentation and controls on LNG vessels; use of equipment and systems in various cargo handling operations; safety and emergency procedures on operations onboard LNG vessels; resolution of operational problems; loading and discharging operations.
