Scope (Target audience):
The course is in accordance with requirements of Regulation I/12, Section A-I/12, A-V/1-2 and B-V/1-2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW),1978 as amended and IMO Model Course 2.06. This course is designed for personnel with little or no experience on oil tanker operations and for personnel who have limited direct experience of oil tanker operations and are about to assume greater responsibility in the field. Program can be tailored to specific shipping company operations.
Objective:
Upon successful completion of the course the trainees will demonstrate knowledge of the equipment, instrumentation and controls on oil vessels; use of equipment and systems in various cargo handling operations; safety and emergency procedures on operations onboard oil vessels; resolution of operational problems; loading and discharging operations.
