Scope (Target audience):
This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section II/4. Course is open to mariners who wish to obtain an appropriate certificate in order to perform duties as a deck rating forming part of a navigational watch.
Objective:
The course has been designed to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills in seamanship required to perform duties as a deck rating forming part of a navigational watch.
Course content:
- Steering
- Observing
- Participating in oversight and safe watch-keeping
- Working with emergency equipment and application of emergency procedures
- Maneuvering including collision avoidance
Prerequisite:
Basic Safety Training certificate
Note to client:
After successful completion of the course and examination candidates will receive a Rating forming a part of the navigational watch course certificate.
