Maritime Agent
A ship agent, vessel agent or maritime agent is a professional who represents ship owners, operators, or charterers in port. They handle all administrative and logistical tasks, including coordinating port services, arranging supplies, managing customs documentation, and ensuring a smooth turnaround for vessels. Maritime agents are essential for efficient port operations, acting as a liaison between the ship and local authorities to facilitate cargo handling, crew changes, and compliance with regulations.
Scope (Target Audience):
Participants who successfully complete this training program will be qualified for the position of Maritime Agent, capable of performing maritime-agency activities.

- Maritime Agency Business
- Ship Exploitation Contracts
- Fundamentals of Commercial and Financial Operations
- Maritime English
Additional Prerequisites:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Certificate of Employment:
- At least 1 year of experience in maritime agency affairs, or
- 1 year of work in marine activities, or
- Minimum of 2 years of navigation service as a deck or engine officer (for seafarers).
Note to Clients:
Upon successful completion of the course and passing the exam at the Harbour Master’s Office, candidates will be issued a License for registration in the official register of Maritime Agents.
