Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork

Scope (Target audience):
This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section A-II/2-6 and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.22.
Course provides guidance for masters and officers in charge of a navigational watch on the skills required for effective usage of bridge equipment and team and resource management.
Program can be tailored to specific shipping company operations.

Objective:
The candidates who successfully complete this course will gain experience in handling ships under various conditions and will make a more effective contribution to the bridge team during ship manoeuvring in normal and emergency situations.

Course content:

  • Familiarization with the bridge, briefing
  • Standard manoeuvring
  • Wind and current effects
  • Shallow-water effects
  • Bank, channel and interaction effects
  • Anchoring and single-buoy mooring
  • Planning and carrying out a voyage
  • Human factor
  • Etc.

Note to client:
After successful completion of the course and examination candidates will receive a Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork course certificate.

Prerequisite:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Government issued Id or Passport
  • 2 passport size colored photographs
  • Sea Service - 6 Months Certified
